Formovie, the Mi ecosystem joint venture between Appotronics Corporation and Xiaomi has launched the Formovie Threatre Premium projector in India. This supports 4K resolution, Dolby Atmos sound, and can project up to 150-inches. The projector is powered by ALPD RGB+ 4.0 triple laser technology, which is claimed to outshine the standard RGB projectors. There’s Google TV support and the latest Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

- The Formovie Theatre Premium has an MRP of Rs 4,75,000 but will be available at Rs 395,000.
- The projector will be available via AYTEXCEL and interested customers can experience the product at Formovie lounges in major cities.

- The Formovie Theatre Premium is claimed to deliver higher brightness, with an output of up to 2,200 lumens and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1. There’s Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.
- The ALPD RGB+ 4.0 triple laser technology is claimed to enhance image quality by offering a wider colour gamut and deeper contrasts. The company is promising a laser lifespan of up to 30,000 hours.
- The projector is powered by the MT9629 chipset paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB eMMC storage.
- There’s a new Gaming Mode that is said to offer a zero-lag gaming experience.
- The projector is equipped with dual 15W Bowers and Wilkins speakers, featuring a 990c sound chamber for deep bass. We also get support for Dolby Atmos and DTS.
- The Formovie Theatre Premium is said to have an ultra-short 0.21:1 throw ratio. This means a large 150-inch screen can be projected by placing the projector just 42cm away from the wall.
- The projector comes with Google TV integration, offering access to all major streaming platforms, including Netflix. It can play content from Blu-ray and other sources.
