The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 is expected to launch soon as the brand’s second book-style foldable. The Phantom V Fold 2, along with the Phantom V Flip 2, were accidentally put up for pre-orders last month in Ghana, which also revealed their design. The post was then removed with no official update from the brand. While we wait for the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 launch date, 91mobiles has received a set of high-quality renders giving us an even better look at the upcoming foldable phone from all angles.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 design details

• While the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2’s design was already revealed in the pre-order announcement, fresh renders show the foldable from all angles and the colour options as well. 
• These images, sourced from tipster Sudhanshu, show the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 in Black and Blue colours with the latter in a vegan leather finish, designed by luxury brand Loewe. 
• The foldable has a triple-camera setup at the back with an LED flash, a punch-hole selfie camera inside the main display, and one on the cover display. So in total, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 has five cameras.
• The USB Type-C port and speaker grille are at the bottom, while the SIM tray and another speaker grille are placed on top. The renders also confirm Dolby Atmos sound for the Tecno foldable. 
• In comparison to the Tecno Phantom V Fold, there’s a major design change to the rear camera island. The first generation model has a circular module while the successor has a rectangular one.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 specifications (rumoured)

• The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. 
• The inner display on the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 could have a 2,000 x 2,296 pixels resolution, which would be the same as the Tecno Phantom V Fold. 
• The upcoming foldable could pack a larger 5,610mAh battery compared to the Phantom V Fold’s 5,000mAh unit. The Phantom V Fold 2 will cost GHS 16,550 for the 12GB/512GB unit, based on the pre-order site that went live briefly in Ghana. This converts to USD 1,055 or Rs 88,500. This puts it right around the price of the first-generation Phantom V Fold.

There’s no word on the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 launch date yet but since the foldable was put up for pre-orders in Ghana, we’re expecting the device to go official soon. The first generation Tecno Phantom V Fold was one of the most affordable foldables in India with a launch price of Rs 88,888.
