[Exclusive] Realme’s 300W fast-charging tech showcased in video ahead of official reveal | Tech Tips

Realme is launching what it claims to be the ‘world’s fastest charging technology’ on August 14th. The brand has yet to reveal any details but it’s rumoured that it will be Realme’s 300W fast charging technology. Ahead of the launch, 91mobiles, courtesy of OnLeaks, has received a video that shows Realme’s fast charging technology in action. It’s even tipped that the charging technology might be higher than 300W. 

Realme’s fast-charging technology revealed 

In the video below, Realme demonstrates its fast charging technology where a phone is plugged along with a timer next to it to show the charging time. Here, we can see that the phone charges from 0 to 17 percent in just 35 seconds. Details about the phone’s battery capacity haven’t been revealed and it’s not confirmed how much time it would take for a full charge. The results would still be highly impressive for the brand to offer ultra-fast charging. 

It’s rumoured that Realme will debut its 300W fast-charging technology at the event. However, it’s tipped that the charging speed might be higher than 300W. This could be true as Realme is aiming for the world’s fastest charging technology tag and Redmi has already claimed this. The Xiaomi sub-brand unveiled its 300W fast charging technology last year. 

Realme is also no stranger to ultra-fast charging technologies for smartphones. It has already debuted its 240W fast charging technology with the Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone. It’s claimed to charge the phone’s 4,600mAh battery from 0 to 100 percent in less than 10 minutes. The 240W charger can reach 0 to 20 percent in 80 seconds, and 0 to 50 percent in four minutes. 

Realme’s annual 828 Fan Festival is taking place next week where it will unveil the fast-charging technology. We should know more details about it then and also find out if Realme plans to offer its fast charging technology with any of its future smartphones.
