[Exclusive] OPPO F27 5G live images reveal design; India launch next week | Tech Tips

OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G launched in June as the first phone with an IP69 rating in India. Now, it looks like OPPO is planning to launch the vanilla F27 5G in India. The OPPO F27 is slated to launch in India next week, according to information shared by tipster Sudhanshu. 91mobiles has also received live images of the phone revealing its design.

OPPO F27 5G India launch and design details

The OPPO F27 5G will launch in India next week although a specific date hasn’t been confirmed yet. OPPO is expected to officially announce the launch of the F27 soon. According to the tipster, the OPPO F27 will launch in two variants: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. These are the same variants the OPPO F27 Pro+ is available in.

According to these live images, the OPPO F27 5G will feature flat edges and a punch-hole display. It looks like the smartphone has a gradient colour design with a metal frame. If we compare this to the OPPO F27 Pro+, the design is quite different as the latter has a curved display and a vegan leather back. It’s only the circular rear camera module that’s similar between the two phones.

Since the OPPO F27 will be the base model in the series, it would be priced lower than the F27 Pro+, which starts at Rs 27,999 in India. The F27 Pro+ is a rebrand of the OPPO A3 Pro that’s available in China. The F27 would naturally be assumed to launch as a rebrand of the A3 Chinese variant but based on our leak, it’s not the same phone. We’re also not aware of the F27’s specifications yet.

The OPPO F27 Pro+ stood out for its durability with the highest IP rating on a smartphone. It’s not clear whether the F27 will also come with an IP69 rating. With the launch set to take place next week, we should hear more about the phone soon.
