ASUS ROG Phone 9 will launch on November 19th at 12:00 PM CET (4:30 PM IST). The company has posted this on its X handle and also hosted a microsite with a countdown for the launch event. The event will likely be live-streamed on the same page.
The launch invite reads, “…We’re excited to unveil the all-new ROG Phone 9 series, featuring cutting-edge design, unstoppable power, and advanced AI Gaming technology…”
The teasers also highlight the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip powering the phone.

ASUS ROG Phone 9 appears to have a similar design as the ROG Phone 8. The rear camera panel is pentagon-shaped.
The sides, however, seem more rounded. The power button and the volume rockers are on the right side.

There are two ROG logos on the back. The symbol isn’t colourfully lit up like in its predecessor but the ROG text logo is LED-lit.
The front probably has a punch-hole cutout housing the selfie camera.
The phone will come in two colours: a dark one and a light variant.

ASUS ROG Phone 9 specifications (expected)
- Processor: A key attraction of this phone will be its underlying chip because the Snapdragon 8 Elite brings a major performance improvement. Its Oryon CPU can perform at 4.32 GHz frequency. Qualcomm claims the chip can deliver 44 percent improved CPU performance, 44 percent improved power efficiency, 27 percent overall power savings, 45 percent faster NPU, and 40 percent better GPU performance.
- Memory: The phone could ship with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
- Charging: ASUS could continue giving 65W charging support like the ROG Phone 8. The 8’s adapter could charge the phone full in 39 minutes.
- Miscellaneous: The phone can boot Android 15, advanced cooling mechanism, broad accessory support, and lots of AI enhancements.
