The Flipkart Big Billion Days sale is expected to start this month and the e-commerce giant has started teasing various deals ahead of the event. One such deal is the Apple iPad 9th gen available for under Rs 20,000. Here, we shall detail this price breakdown and see if you should buy the iPad in the upcoming sale.
Flipkart iPad 9th gen sale: price breakdown
As per the deal listing spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav, Apple iPad 9th gen (Wi-Fi, 64GB) will be available for Rs 18,xxx during Flipkart Big Billion Days (BBD). The last three digits of the price would be disclosed either close to the sale date or once the sale begins.
The iPad 9th gen (Wi-Fi, 64GB), also called iPad 10.2 launched in 2021 for Rs 30,900. So, if you can grab the above deal price, you will get a Rs 11,900 to Rs 12,900 discount.
Currently, without the so-called BBD sale offer, the iPad 9th gen is available for Rs 29,999 on Flipkart. So, a sub-Rs 19,000 price tag will be a massive deal nonetheless.
Should you buy iPad 9th gen in 2024?
It’s been a few years since iPad 9th gen debuted (in September 2021) and in the meantime, tablets on Apple and Android worlds have advanced in specs, features, and design.
Still, the iPad 9th gen is considered a great value iPad (or tablet) since it is quite powerful (with Apple A13 Bionic) for most everyday tasks (media consumption, light photo editing, etc). You get the premium iPadOS experience and Apple finishing (design-wise). This iPad could be your entry into a rather mature Apple ecosystem. Apple still offers updates to it including iPadOS 18.
The 64GB storage shouldn’t be a problem as long as you don’t install/download/run big demanding files or programs. For more storage, you can use an external hard disk through a lightning OTG cable.
