Alleged Vivo X200 Ultra camera details tipped, might not feature 1-inch sensor like predecessor | Tech Tips
The Vivo X200 series is gearing up to launch globally very soon as the brand already started teasing its arrival. We have also exclusively reported the vanilla X200 and X200 Pro will be making their way to India next month (December) leaving behind the Vivo X200 Pro Mini. Amidst this, details of the Vivo X200 Ultra have now leaked online on Weibo.
The Vivo X-series is the brand’s flagship lineup that offers a premium camera experience and a top-class performance. The Vivo X100 series launched in India earlier this year at a starting price of Rs 63,999.
Possible Vivo X200 Ultra camera specs tipped
- In a Weibo post, tipster DigitalChatStation says the phone will have triple camera sensors.
- While the marketing name is not explicitly mentioned, the handset is believed to be the Vivo X200 Ultra (via).
- Speaking of cameras, the tipster says the possible Vivo X200 Ultra will have a 50MP 1/1.3-inch sensor. To recall, the predecessor features a 50MP Sony LYT-900 1-inch sensor. If true, Vivo seems to be making some notable changes.
- The reason behind this change is immediately not clear but the tipster says “not one inch, much more than one inch,” which could be hitting at improved image quality.
- Furthermore, the alleged Vivo X200 Ultra is tipped to feature a 200MP periscope 1/1.4-inch sensor, much like the Vivo X100 Ultra and the new Vivo X200 Pro.
- While details regarding the other sensor are not detailed yet, we can speculate it could be an ultra-wide-angle lens.
- DCS mentions the flagship will feature the SM8750, which is the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
- Vivo teased a flagship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC last month. So, there’s a good chance the phone in question might indeed be the Vivo X200 Ultra considering the predecessor i.e. the Vivo X100 Ultra, shipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
The Vivo X100 Ultra debuted in China earlier this year in May so there’s a good chance the successor i.e. the Vivo X200 Ultra might also arrive around the same timeframe in 2025 but will not launch in India considering the predecessor never made it to the country.
