Alleged Vivo X Fold 4 spotted on TENAA certification with a massive 6,365mAh battery | Tech Tips
Vivo recently launched its flagship X200 series in China, and we just shared some exclusive insights about when the Vivo X200 series might arrive in India. We have more exciting news about Vivo, especially regarding their upcoming foldable phone, the Vivo X Fold 4, which we’ve spotted on the TENAA certification website. Here are the details:
Vivo X Fold 4 might have the biggest battery yet in a foldable phone
- We spotted a new Vivo device registered on the TENAA certification website as model number V2429A, and its suspected to be the Vivo X Fold 4.
- While the moniker isn’t confirmed, the V2429 model number belongs to Vivo X Fold 4, as confirmed on the IMEI database. The V2429A thus could be a variant.
- While the certification doesn’t share many specifics, we managed to extract the battery details from the code, where the capacity is listed as “batteryRatedCapacityIn”: “6365mAh”.
- This suggests that the upcoming foldable might have a typical battery rating of around 6,500mAh, which would be the largest in a foldable device so far
- For comparison, the Vivo X Fold 3 had a 5,500mAh battery, which makes it an increase of almost 15 percent.
- The increased battery size also means a slight increase in thickness, so it will be interesting to see how Vivo circumvents this challenge.
- The certification also mentions that the device will have Satellite Navigation (GLONASS), dual 5G SIM support, and will operate on Android 15 out of the box.
- The upcoming foldable might feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, considering the X Fold 3 used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
- While there are no additional details available yet, we’ll keep you updated as the launch date gets closer.
- The Vivo X Fold 3 launched back on March 26th, so there’s still some time before the official launch of the X Fold 4.
