After launching the Vivo V40 series in India back in August, the company appears to be gearing up to bring the successors, presumably the Vivo V50. Now, three new Vivo phones have been spotted on the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) certification, hinting at their imminent launch.

The Vivo V-series is the brand’s premium mid-range offering that delivers premium cameras and performance. The phones also feature elegant designs.

• The EEC certification, as spotted by MySmartPrice, reveals the model numbers V2427, V2428, and V2434.
• While the marketing names of the phones are not revealed from the listing, the report notes these are the Vivo V50 (V2427), Vivo V50e (V2428), and Vivo Y29 4G (V2434).

• The EEC certification doesn’t reveal any other details of the phones but serves as a good indication that the launch might be inching close.

The Vivo V50 and V50e reportedly appeared on the IMEI database earlier with the same model numbers. Similarly, the Vivo Y29 4G was spotted on the IMEI as well as the GSMA databases.

The Vivo V50 (if that’s what it will be called) will arrive as a follow-up to the Vivo V40, while the V50e succeeds the Vivo V40e, which debuted in September. The Vivo V-series is usually the rebrand of the Vivo S-lineup, which is exclusive to China, with some changes. If the company is indeed sticking to this for the upcoming models as well, it can be speculated that the Vivo V50 series could be the rebrand of the Vivo S20 lineup.

The Vivo S20 series is expected to debut in the home country- China later this month. We can expect the Vivo V50 series to launch in India around the first quarter of 2025, going by the Vivo 30 launch timeline.

Since the phones have just been spotted online, we can expect more such appearances in the days to come and more details should be revealed.
