Airtel has launched a new Rs 398 prepaid plan for its customers. The plan brings multiple benefits like unlimited local/ STD/ roaming voice calls to any network, 100 SMS per day, and more. The new plan is available to recharge via the AirtelThanks app, the Airtel website and through any retail outlet.

• The new Airtel Rs 398 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 28 days.
• The plan offers benefits like 2GB of high-speed data per day (cumulative of 56GB for the entire validity).
• This also offers unlimited 5G data over and above the plan limit. This is applicable in areas where the 5G network is available.

• Customers recharging with the plan also get 100 SMS each day.
• Additionally, with the Rs 398 plan, Airtel is also offering 28 days of Disney+ Hotstar subscription, with access to the entire content catalogue and free Hello Tunes on Wynk.
• Airtel will also offer a ‘Suspected Spam’ alert on your phone for incoming spam calls and SMS. This comes as a part of its “Spam Fighting Network” initiative.
• As said, the Rs 398 prepaid plan is now available for customers to recharge.

Airtel recently announced that it flagged over 8 billion spam calls and 0.8 billion spam SMSes. The company says that it achieved this feat by leveraging on the AI-powered solution that was unveiled in September. Airtel claims to have pushed alerts to over 252 million unique customers about suspicious activities since the announcement. This led to a 12 percent reduction in the number of customers answering the calls. 

Airtel’s data reveals that 6 percent of all calls and 2 percent of all SMSes on its network were flagged as spam. Delhi has witnessed the highest number of spam calls, followed by Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal.
