Honor Magic V5 Allegedly Listed on Geekbench, Suggesting Key Specifications | Tech Tips
Honor Magic V5 is said to go official in China soon. While the launch date of the foldable phone remains unverified, an alleged Geekbench listing has now suggested its possible model number and specifications. The Honor Magic V5 is listed with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC on the benchmarking website. The listing suggests that the phone will carry the model number Honor MHG-AN00. The Honor Magic V5 is tipped to come with a slim design and an 8-inch foldable screen.
Honor Magic V5 Listed on Geekbench
An unannounced Honor handset has been spotted on the Geekbench website on June 3 with model number MHG-AN00. This model number is speculated to be associated with the Honor Magic V5. The phone has been listed on the benchmark platform with the Android 15 operating system and 14.83GB of RAM. It shows 3,052 points in single-core testing and 9,165 points in multi-core testing.
The handset is listed to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The octa-core processor has six cores with a clock speed of 3.53GHz and two CPU cores capped at 4.47GHz. The CPU is paired with the Adreno 830 GPU.
Honor Magic V5 is expected to launch in China at the end of June as a successor to Honor Magic V3. It could be announced alongside the Honor Watch 5 Ultra, new Honor earphones and other devices. The foldable phone is rumoured to come with a large 6,100mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging support.
As per past leaks, the Honor Magic V5 will have a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED cover screen and an 8-inch 2K inner display. The phone is also said to offer an IPX8-rated build and a thin design. The rear camera unit of the phone is rumoured to include a 50-megapixel main rear camera with OIS support, an ultra-wide camera, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter. It could feature a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
