Reliance Jio reportedly upgrading its postpaid users on Rs 199 plan to Rs 299 pack | Tech Tips

Besides reports of revising its prepaid value packs, Jio postpaid users who are on the Rs 199 postpaid plan will reportedly be shifted automatically to the Rs 299 plan. The Rs 199 plan was the cheapest postpaid pack that offered 30 days validity, voice calling and 4G data benefits. Jio’s postpaid base plan now starts at Rs 349. Here’s everything you need to know.

Jio Rs 299 postpaid pack

• Jio postpaid users who are on the Rs 199 plan will be reportedly migrated to a higher Rs 299 plan starting January 23rd i.e. tomorrow.
• The Rs 299 postpaid plan offers users unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS each day, and 25GB of data per month. Additional data will be charged at Rs 10 per GB.
• If you are looking to get a new Jio postpaid connection, the base plan now starts at Rs 349. 
• The Rs 349 postpaid plan offers 30GB of data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS each day, and access to JioTV, JioCinema (not Premium), and JioCloud. Additionally, customers will also get unlimited 5G data in areas where it’s applicable.

• Compared to the Rs 299 postpaid plan, the Rs 349 seems to offer better value considering it offers more data and 5G unlimited benefit.
• Jio hasn’t officially announced the reason behind upgrading its postpaid users to a higher Rs 299 pack but it could be seen as a move to push its subscribers to higher-value packs.

Besides the Rs 349 plan, Jio also has Rs 449, Rs 649, Rs 749 and Rs 1549 postpaid plans. The latter two come with access to popular OTT apps like Netflix Basic plan and Amazon Prime Lite (valid for two months). All these plans offer 5G unlimited data benefits, voice calling to any network, and 100 SMS each day.
