WhatsApp’s new feature might allow users to create custom AI chatbots | Tech Tips
WhatsApp might soon introduce an exciting new feature that allows users to create personalised chatbots powered by AI. While the feature is still under development, a recent report has unveiled some interesting details about it. Here’s everything that we know about the AI chatbot that might be coming soon to WhatsApp.
Create and interact with custom AI WhatsApp chatbot
According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently working on a feature that allows users to create and custom AI chatbots within the app. It was discovered in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.1.26 update. Despite it being under development and not available even to beta users, the source has managed to extract a screenshot of the feature.
Users will be able to personalise the AI chatbot based on their needs and preferences. For example, a user can create and customise a chatbot to help them with productivity, entertainment, etc. And, for those who might find it difficult to decide on the abilities of their chatbot, WhatsApp will include suggestions that will help users navigate through the creation process. This will help shape the personality of the chatbot.
Based on the screenshot attached above, the feature might be called AI Character. A similar feature is already available through the AI Studio website for Instagram users. However, Meta – the parent company – might soon extend and integrate the same feature within WhatsApp.
When Will the Custom AI Chatbot Be Available on WhatsApp?
As mentioned earlier, the custom AI chatbot feature is currently under development. Moreover, it isn’t available even to WhatsApp’s latest beta users yet. So, do not fret if you can’t find it on your device. The feature is expected to launch with upcoming beta updates, although we have no official confirmation yet.
