OnePlus 13R receiving its first incremental software update focusing on improvements | Tech Tips
The OnePlus 13R (performance review) that debuted last week and went on sale recently is receiving its first software update. It does not bring any new features and changes but improves certain things like camera performance, system stability, and more. The brand also notes that this is an incremental update. For those unaware, OnePlus’s latest mid-ranger ships with Android 15 out of the box and is eligible for four years of OS updates.
OnePlus 13R getting its first update
- OnePlus announced the rollout of the software update for the OnePlus 13R on the community’s official forum.
- The new build version is OxygenOS 15.0.0.403.
- It is currently being rolled out in India, Europe, North American, and Global regions.
- The brand says that the deployment is in a phased manner and a wider rollout of the OTA update will begin in few days.
- The firmware versions of the OnePlus 13R for India is CPH2691_15.0.0.403(EX01). European and global regions have CPH2645_15.0.0.403(EX01). In North America, the version is CPH2647_15.0.0.403(EX01).
- As per the update changelog, the OxygenOS 15.0.0.403 introduces personalised watermarks to the Photos app.
- It also brings ‘Touch to share‘ feature for seamlessly sharing files with iOS devices.
- The brand has improved the stability of the WiFi and Bluetooth connections.
- OnePlus has also made improvements to the OnePlus 13R’s camera with the first update. It fixes overexposure through the rear camera, colour enhancement with the main and telephoto lens, and the overall camera performance.
- The update also adds charging status to the Live Alerts feature for a better user experience.
- Lastly, it also features the December security update for the OnePlus 13R.
The OnePlus 13R launched at a price tag of Rs 42,999. It features a 1.5K 120Hz display with 4,500 nits peak brightness, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W charging.
