OnePlus announces free 180 days phone replacement program for OnePlus 13, 13R | Tech Tips

OnePlus 13 series, including the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R flagships launched in India and globally on Tuesday i.e. January 7th. On the sidelines, the company has also announced a new 180-day phone replacement for the phones. This one-time phone replacement program is a part of ‘OnePlus’s Project Starlight in India’ which was announced back in December last year. Here’s everything you need to know about the phone replacement program.

OnePlus 13 series phone replacement program

• Customers buying the OnePlus 13 or OnePlus 13R before February 13th are eligible for the 180-day replacement service at no extra cost in case there’s any hardware issue. 
• Post this period, the premium service will be available as an optional add-on at Rs 2,599 for the OnePlus 13 and Rs 2,299 for the OnePlus 13R. This plan is said to extend the service for an additional three months.

• The 180-day free replacement program covers all core components like screen, back cover, battery, motherboard, and others.
• In case any hardware issue arises on the OnePlus 13 or OnePus 13R within 180 days of the purchase, the company will replace the phone one time, skipping any sort of repairs.
• To avail of replacement services, customers can visit any of the OnePlus authorised service centres and confirm their eligibility to receive a replacement device.
• OnePlus notes that handsets with software issues, cosmetic damage, accidental damage or any third-party repairs will not be eligible for replacement.

As said, the phone replacement program is a part of the brand’s Project Starlight initiative, which is said to offer improved customer services, better device durability and features that are tailored for Indian users. The company also aims to expand the service centres by 50 percent by mid-2026.

OnePlus 13 ships with Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 6.82-inch 2K display, 6000mAh battery and 100W fast charging. The flagship has a starting price of Rs 69,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, Rs 76,999 for the 16GB/512GB and Rs 89,999 for the 24GB+1TB model. The phone will be available for purchase from January 10th via Amazon, OnePlus store, and retail partners.

The OnePlus 13R comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a 6.77-inch 1.5K display, and 80W fast charging. The phone can be purchased at Rs 42,999 for the 12GB/256GB and Rs 49,999 for the 16GB/512GB variant. The handset is on sale from January 13th via Amazon, OnePlus store, and retail partners.
