ASUS ROG laptops, RTX 50 series GPUs, mini PCs, and more launched at CES 2025

ASUS has kicked off the year with a bang and revamped its ROG gaming portfolio at CES 2025. The lineup comes with improved ROG series gaming laptops, mini PCs, new NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs, gaming monitors, and more. We’ll take a brief look at each of these below:

ASUS ROG GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs

Built for high-end gaming, these cards showcase cutting-edge graphics performance, offering outstanding cooling, stability, and power. The latest lineup includes the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080, the ROG Astral LC GeForce RTX 5090, and the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and 5070, as part of the expanded ROG Strix collection. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 feature a quad-fan design for efficient cooling and aid overclocking. The Astral LC RTC 5090 comes with a liquid cooling solution without the hassle of installing a custom loop, and all these cards use a custom thermal pad to improve heat dissipation.

ASUS ROG Strix Scar 16 & 18 gaming laptops

The 2025 ROG Strix Scar 16/18 gaming laptops set new performance standards with the next-gen Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 275HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Alongside these are the ROG Strix G16/G18 models, offering powerful features in a sleek design. These laptops come with either an AMD Ryzen 9 or Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 275HX, making them ideal for AAA gaming, content creation, and more.

It’s paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, offering up to 175W TGP, along with a MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus for optimal performance in demanding AAA games and multitasking. ROG’s cooling system includes a custom vapour chamber, a sandwiched heatsink, and Tri-Fan Technology, with liquid metal on the CPU and GPU for efficient thermal management.

The laptops also feature a 2.5K mini-LED Nebula HDR display with a 240Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage, and 1200 nits peak brightness. With up to 64GB DDR5-5600 RAM and a 4TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, they offer fast, smooth performance.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 & G16 gaming laptops

The 2025 Zephyrus G14 and G16 are designed for gamers who are frequent travellers and want more portability without sacrificing performance. These devices deliver reliable AAA gaming performance and smooth content creation, powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX (G614), Ryzen 9 9955HX3D (G814), or Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 275HX (G615/815).

Paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, or 5070 Laptop GPUs, they offer strong performance and impressive visuals. With up to 32GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM, they handle multitasking and demanding applications efficiently. The advanced Tri-Fan Technology, full-width heatsink, and all-round vents provide effective cooling, ensuring consistent performance during intense gaming sessions.

ASUS ROG Flow Z13 & ROG XG Mobile GPU

The 2025 ROG Flow Z13 is a 2-in-1 gaming tablet featuring the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with Radeon 8060S graphics, combining a desktop-class CPU, RDNA 3.5 GPU, and 50 TOPS of NPU compute power. It has a 2.5K ROG Nebula 180Hz touchscreen display with Pantone validation, and 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage ensures vibrant visuals. With a 70 Wh battery, a stainless steel vapour chamber, and 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans, it’s designed for quiet, reliable operation.

The 2025 ROG XG Mobile GPU features the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU and Thunderbolt 5 connectivity for high performance in a compact design. It includes a vapour chamber for better cooling and reduced noise, along with active bridge rectifier MOSFETs, making it the smallest and lightest external GPU by the brand. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, dual USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and an SD card reader, all through a single Thunderbolt 5 connection. It also supports customisable RGB lighting with Aura Sync.

ASUS ROG NUC mini PC

The 2025 ROG NUC is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 265H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU with ray tracing and DLSS 4 support. It supports Thunderbolt 4, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and high-speed Ethernet for low-latency gaming. The mini-PC features a 3L chassis with three fans, a dual vapour chamber cooling system, and supports easy upgrades for memory and storage. It includes customisable ARGB lighting with Aura Sync and Armoury Crate software for optimisation.

ASUS ROG G700 series desktops

The 2025 ROG Strix G700 series desktops are powered by AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D or Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285K, with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs. They support up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz and PCIe Gen 5 storage. Cooling options include air and water configurations with a quad-fan system. The G700 series features tool-less access for easy upgrades and standard-sized components for durability. It also includes RGB lighting with Aura Sync support and dust filters for maintenance.

ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM gaming monitor

The ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM is the world’s first 27-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, claims ASUS. It uses ROG 4th-gen QD-OLED technology with a 166ppi pixel density and OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20, HDMI 2.1, USB hub, and USB-C with 90W power delivery. The monitor features ROG OLED Care Pro with a Neo Proximity Sensor to prevent OLED burn-in. It supports Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10 and the ROG DisplayWidget Centre software for display adjustments and firmware updates.

ASUS ROG Rapture Wi-Fi 7 router

The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI is a Wi-Fi 7 AI gaming router with a built-in NPU and a tri-core design. It features game acceleration, network security, energy saving, and network insights. The router supports up to 46 percent energy savings with AI energy-saving and offers Triple-Level Game Acceleration with ROG AI Game Booster, reducing ping by 34 percent. Adaptive QoS 2.0 lets users prioritise bandwidth for gaming or streaming.

It delivers up to 19,000 Mbps with 320 MHz channels and covers up to 3,500 sq. ft. with dual 10G ports and 31G LAN/WAN capacity. The router includes 4GB DDR4 RAM, 32GB eMMC flash, and supports advanced features like Guest Network Pro, AiProtection Pro, and VPN.
