Alleged OnePlus 13T/13 Mini to launch as compact phone, specifications tipped | Tech Tips

OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R are set to launch in India later today as the new flagship offerings with Snapdragon 8-series chipsets. This comes after the brand recently launched the new Ace 5 series and is believed to be working on an alleged Ace 5V. However, it looks like there could be another compact flagship in the works, going by the latest leak on Weibo.

New OnePlus compact phone

DigitalChatStation on Weibo without mentioning the brand name has tipped the key specifications of an upcoming phone. While there’s no confirmation, the phone could be called the ‘13T/13 Mini‘. This hints the brand in question could be ‘OnePlus‘ considering it is the one with 13-series flagship models currently. Earlier reports said that OnePlus could be bringing a new compact phone in the Ace-series. 

OnePlus 13T/13 Mini specifications tipped

• Display: OnePlus 13T/13 Mini is tipped to sport a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO display with narrow bezels. It would be a compact offering in the series since the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R have 6.82-inch and 6.78-inch display sizes, respectively. 
• Processor: The handset could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset like the OnePlus 13.
• Design: The OnePlus 13T/OnePlus Mini is said to feature a metal middle frame and glass back panel.
• Cameras: Although the tipster can’t confirm, the phone might feature a 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
• The phone could have an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security.
• The launch timeline of the OnePlus 13T/13 Mini is not revealed at the moment but the earlier Ace-series compact phone was tipped to debut in Q2 2025.

Besides the alleged OnePlus 13T/13 Mini, OPPO is also said to be working on a compact phone, rumoured to be the ‘Find X8 Mini’. This is expected to debut alongside the Find X8 Ultra in March. Interestingly, when asked about differences between the OnePlus 13T/13 Mini and the alleged OPPO Find X8 Mini, DCS says processor and image processor (possibly cameras).

For context, the alleged OPPO compact phone is said to arrive with Dimensity 9400 similar to Find X8 and X8 Pro and have a 50MP Sony IMX9-series sensor and a 50MP periscope camera. Like the OnePlus 13T/13 Mini, the OPPO Find X8 Mini is expected to have a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO display.

It is possible that the OnePlus 13T/13 Mini could be a rebrand of the OPPO Find X8 Mini but with some differences. Not much is said about the India launch of the OnePlus and OPPO compact phones at the moment.
