Motorola is gearing up to launch a new G-series smartphone in India. It is the Moto G05 that debuted in the global markets last month. The upcoming offering will be arriving as the successor to the Moto G04 that launched in February last year. Ahead of the official announcement, Flipkart has put up a microsite of the Moto G05 revealing its key specifications.
Moto G05 India launch date
- The Moto G05 is scheduled to launch in India on January 7, Tuesday at 12 pm.
- It will be available for purchase from Flipkart.
- The pricing and sale date of the smartphone will be revealed at the launch event.
- To recall, the Moto G04 debuted at a price tag of Rs 6,999. Hence, we can expect the upcoming offering to be a budget smartphone under the Rs 10,000 price segment.
Moto G05 confirmed specs
- Display: As per the microsite, the Moto G05 is confirmed to have a 6.67-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 3, and water touch technology.
- Design: It will be available in Green and Red colours with a vegan leather back panel. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a raised camera island on the back.
- Camera: The device will feature a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper.
- Audio: It will come with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio.
- Hardware: Internally, the Moto G05 is confirmed to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor. It will be paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone is also teased to have virtual RAM technology.
- Battery and OS: The upcoming offering will be backed by a 5,200mAh battery unit with support for 18W charging. The smartphone will ship with Android 15 OS out of the box.
