Circle to Search now available on Nothing Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus | Tech Tips
The latest Nothing OS 3.0 update based on Android 15 started rolling out last week. The brand has now announced that this update also includes Google’s Circle to Search feature. It will be available for Nothing Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus. The popular AI feature debuted with the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year and lets you find information online about anything on your screen by just circling around the product.
Circle to Search comes to select Nothing phones
- As mentioned above, Circle to Search is available only for the Nothing Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus.
- For the Phone (2) and Phone (2a), it’s a stable update but Phone (2a) Plus users will have to get the Nothing OS 3.0 beta update to use the feature.
- The build numbers are as follows — Phone (2): Pong-V3.0-241207-0124, Phone (2a): Pacman-V3.0-241210-2057, Phone (2a) Plus: PacmanPro-V3.0-241126-1448 (Beta build).
How to use Circle to Search on Nothing Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus:
- First you’ll have to ensure you’re on the correct build number for each phone.
- Check by going to Settings > About phone > Software info (tap the picture of the phone)> Build number.
- Once your device is updated, go to Settings > Special features > Gestures > Navigation mode > Circle to Search.
- If you still can’t find the feature, you can try rebooting your device.
- Once you have the feature, you can launch it by long-pressing the Home button or the Navigation bar.
- Then draw a circle or tap the product you want information on. Google will pull out search results from the internet.
- You can also share details about the product from the Circle to Search screen.
Nothing hasn’t confirmed if this feature will expand to other devices, including the CMF Phone 1. For now, only the Phone (2) and Phone (2a) have received the Nothing OS 3.0 stable update. Rest of the devices have received the stable update. In addition to Circle to Search, Nothing OS 3.0 comes with the latest Android 15 version, new animations, features, and improvements.
