Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro tipped to come with dual selfie camera and Snapdragon 8s Elite | Tech Tips
The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro debuted in China earlier in March this year. Now, the brand is working on its successor – the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro. The smartphone’s key details have surfaced recently on Weibo, thanks to two tipsters from China. They reveal about the Civi 5 Pro’s processor, design, cameras, and more.
Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro key details, pricing surface
- As per DCS, the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will be equipped with an SM8735 processor which is expected to be the Snapdragon 8s Elite. The Civi 4 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
- The upcoming chipset will reportedly arrive as the successor to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in Q1 of 2025.
- The smartphone is tipped to feature a quad-curved display bearing an 1.5K resolution.
- It will likely have a pill-shaped cutout on the front for accommodating the dual camera sensors.
- The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will come with a circular camera island similar to its predecessor.
- It will also retain the Leica-engineered setup with a telephoto lens like the Civi 4 Pro.
- The back panel of the device is rumoured to have a fibreglass material whereas the side frame will be of metal.
- DCS also reveals that the upcoming offering could come with a 5,000mAh battery which is up from 4,700mAh on its predecessor.
- As per another tipster Smart Pikachu, the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is said to be the first Snapdragon 8s Elite-powered phone and carry a price tag of CNY 3,000 (~Rs 35,958).
The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is expected to launch shortly after the Snapdragon 8s Elite’s announcement. Its predecessor, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro released as a rebadged Xiaomi 14 Civi in India in June this year. The latter starts at Rs 38,999 in the country. It remains to be seen if Xiaomi brings the Civi 5 Pro as Xiaomi 15 Civi in India next year.
