Alleged POCO M7 5G appears on Geekbench, launch imminent | Tech Tips
POCO M7 Pro and POCO C75 5G phones are set to launch in India on December 17th. The company has been pretty vocal in teasing the features and specifications of the phones on social media platforms. While we wait for the announcement, a new Xiaomi phone, possibly meant for the Indian market, has appeared on Geekbench and reveals some key hardware details.
Possible POCO M7 Geekbench scores
- The Geekbench listing, as spotted by MySmartPrice, only shows the model number 24108PCE2I. The ‘I’ at the end usually denotes India.
- While the marketing name is not revealed, it is believed to be the POCO M7 5G, which could be a cheaper alternative to the Pro variant.
- The handset has managed to score 919 points in the single-core round and 2,171 in the multi-core segment.
- For comparison, the POCO M6 in our review scored 688 and 1,869 in the single and multi-core rounds, respectively.
- The listing confirms the phone will boot Android 14 OS and pack 6GB RAM.
- The motherboard section mentions ‘Parrot’. The octa-core processor will have 6 cores at 1.96GHz and 2 cores at 2.21GHz. The source code section reveals Adreno 613 GPU.
- The chipset could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC.
Beyond this, not much else is known about the POCO M7 5G at the moment. Since the company is only talking about the POCO M7 Pro for now, the vanilla model might debut at a later date and should be available in India as well. There are reports the POCO M7 could be a rebrand of the Redmi 13R 5G but the phone is more than a year old as it debuted in October 2023.
Meanwhile, the POCO M7 Pro will arrive with a 6.67-inch FHD+ GOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 camera with OIS, a 20MP selfie shooter, Dolby Atmos, and volume boost feature.
