Xiaomi’s global vice president Alvin T in response to a user’s post on X (formerly Twitter) said that the company will push monthly updates to its phones starting in 2025. This is a welcome change considering the brand is said to be relatively slow in pushing monthly updates to its phones.

Xiaomi phones to get monthly updates in 2025

• Although the top executive said 2025, the exact timeline is not specified explicitly.
• It’s also not confirmed which phones will receive the monthly updates from 2025, there are chances it could start with the flagship models or the Redmi Note series. 
• This response from the top executive comes after an X user (@KaizaadLBanaji) complained that Xiaomi phones don’t receive monthly updates like the competition i.e. OnePlus, Vivo, and others.

• They also bring the security patch to the latest version so the devices will not be vulnerable to malicious attacks.
• Xiaomi currently doesn’t push monthly updates to its flagships like the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and others but that should change in 2025.
• Furthermore, the X user asked why the HyperOS 2.0 India rollout schedule hasn’t been revealed yet, to which the executive said that the team will share the timeline when it’s ready.
