Alleged Xiaomi 15 Ultra specifications leak | Tech Tips

Now that Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro have launched in China, the next big flagship from the brand could be the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Rumours have it the phone may debut in the first quarter of 2025. Before the launch, various leaks have been greeting us at regular intervals to hint at us on what’s coming. In a Weibo post, alleged Xiaomi 15 Ultra details have been leaked.

Xiaomi Ultra series is a premium flagship lineup that sits above the numbered series (Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 15) and offers top-end cameras and aesthetic designs.

Possible Xiaomi 15 specifications leaked

• Tipster DigitalChatStation shared the hardware details of an alleged Xiaomi phone, believed to be Xiaomi 15 Ultra on Weibo but has since then deleted the post.
• The Xiaomi phone is said to retain (via) the same screen size and resolution as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra but with small curves on the sides. This means we can expect a 6.73-inch display and 1,440×3,200 resolution.

• The flagship is said to rock a 1-inch main camera with f/1.63 aperture but there’s apparently no mention of variable aperture. 
• There could be a 50MP short-distance (possibly 2x) zoom telephoto lens and a 200MP periscope telephoto, presumably 4.3x zoom.
• The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is said to feature IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance and wireless charging. As for the battery, it is said the battery capacity could be between 5,450mAh and 5,800mAh cell.
• In comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra packed a 5300mAh cell. So there’s no real big battery upgrade as seen on most other flagships these days.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra: what we know so far

The alleged Xiaomi 15 Ultra render leaked online a few weeks ago and this showed the colour options and the design. While the phone is said to retain the large protruding camera module but the lens placement could be changed.

• Processor: The phone could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset similar to the other Xiaomi 15 models. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra came with 
• Cameras: Earlier leaks claimed the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have a 50MP main camera with f/1.6 aperture and 23mm equivalent focal length and there could be a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultra-wide-angle lens.
• There could be a 32MP OmniVision OV32B sensor on the front for selfies.
• Fast charging: The Ultra model may get 90W fast wired charging and probably 80W fast charging. This is the same combination as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
• Screen: The Xiaomi 15 Ultra may get a 2K LTPO micro-curved display.
• The render showed the phone in black and white colours.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra launched in India at Rs 99,999. There are chances the successor could also debut in the country after its global/China launch.
