OnePlus 12 gets new OxygenOS 15 update with AI features in India | Tech Tips

OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 15 globally for OnePlus 12 users earlier this month. It has now released a new software update that brings many AI features to the OnePlus 12. The latest OxygenOS 15 update brings AI Retouch, AI Notes, and improvements for communication, interconnection, and system. The update has already started rolling out in India so all OnePlus 12 users should get it soon.   

New OxygenOS 15 update for OnePlus 12

This OxygenOs 15 update is version CPH2573_15.0.0.305(EX01). It’s available only to those who are already on the OxygenOS 15 update. You should receive a notification for the new update or you can manually check by going to Settings > System & updates > Software update. Let’s take a look at the latest features of the OnePlus 12 with this update.

AI Retouch

Using AI, a new feature will now enhance the clarity of cropped, distant, or low-quality photos. You can also use ‘Unblur’ to restore details, colors, and lighting in blurry photos. There’s also a feature to remove reflections from glasses with the help of AI.

AI Notes

As the name suggests, AI Notes will help in writing and polishing your content. You also have the ‘Format’ feature to organise scattered information into well-organised content. The ‘Clean up’ feature will use AI to remove filler words from voice notes.

The latest OxygenOS 15 update also adds the ability to share live photos with iOS devices nearby. This is possible through the O+ Connect app, which the iOS user will have to download on their device. This update also improves the stability and expands the compatibility of Bluetooth connections. 

Other features and improvements

In addition to the AI features, the latest OxygenOS 15 update adds several new minor features. Some of these include the ability for the Photos app to recognise boarding passes and add them to Google Wallet. This update fixes an issue that was causing some apps to crash. More importantly, this update adds the November 2024 Android security patch to OnePlus 12.
