Tecno POP 9 4G has been officially launched in India as the newest budget offering. This comes as an affordable alternative to the POP 9 5G that debuted in the country last month. The company says this is the first phone in India to come with the MediaTek Helio G50 chipset and promises to offer three years of lag-free performance. Tecno POP 9 4G price in India, sale

• Tecno POP 9 has an effective price of Rs 6,499 for the sole 3GB+64GB variant, including a Rs 200 discount.
• The handset can be purchased in Startrail Black, Glittery White, and Lime Green colours.
• The phone will be on sale in the country via Amazon from November 26th.

Tecno POP 9 4G specifications, features

• Display: Tecno POP 9 will feature a 6.67-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 1600 X 720 pixels resolution, and 20:9 aspect ratio.
• Chipset: Tecno POP 9 4G will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G50 processor.
• Memory: The phone packs 3GB LPDDR4x RAM (plus 3GB Memory Fusion) and 64GB internal storage that is expandable up to 1TB.
• Battery: The handset will house a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
• Cameras: For photos, you get a 13MP rear camera on the back and an 8MP lens on the front for selfies and video chats.

Tecno POP 9 4G: what’s new

The Tecno POP 9 4G has a slightly larger 6.67-inch display compared to the 6.56-inch panel on the POP 8 4G. The Unisoc T616 chipset is replaced with the new MediaTek Helio G50 chipset. However, we only get 3GB RAM now compared to 4GB on the predecessor, but the company is providing 3GB virtual RAM.

The 12MP main camera on the Tecno POP 9 4G is replaced with a 13MP lens on the Tecno POP 9 4G. There is now an IP54 rating for splash resistance.
