As expected, the Vivo Y300 5G has launched in India today. It joins the Vivo Y300 Plus that released in the country last month. The latest offering arrives as the successor to the last year’s Y200. It packs some key upgrades compared to its predecessor including a new design. The smartphone falls in to the sub-Rs 25,000 segment. Read on to know everything below.

  • Display: The Vivo Y300 5G has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display bearing an FHD+ resolution, a 1,800 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. 
  • Cameras: There is a dual-rear camera setup of 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor paired with a 2MP portrait lens. The phone has a 32MP selfie snapper. There is an Aura Light flash. 
  • Processor: The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. 
  • Battery: It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery cell with support for 80W charging. 
  • Software: The Vivo Y300 5G ships with Funtouch OS 14-based on Android 14 OS out of the box.

Vivo Y300 5G: what’s new?

Compared to its predecessor, the Vivo Y300 5G has a new design with a flat frame and pill-shaped camera island on the back panel. It has a better protection from dust and splashes with IP64 rating instead of IP54 on the Y200. The outdoor visibility of the latest offering is also bumped from last year’s model. Internally, the smartphone is equipped with an upgraded chipset and faster charging onboard. It also ships with Android 14 OS out of the box. 

The Vivo Y300 5G also comes with AI Supermoon, AI Erase and AI Enhance features for improving the photo quality.
