OPPO Find N3 debuted last year. The company is expected to announce its successor next year. It will be dubbed as the OPPO Find N5 since the number 4 is considered to be unlucky in China. Now, tipster Smart Pikachu on the microblogging platform Weibo has shared the launch timeline as well as some key specifications of the next-generation foldable phone. It is claimed to be the most powerful foldable of H1, 2025.
OPPO Find N5 launch timeline, key specs tipped
- As per the tipster, the OPPO Find N5 is said to arrive in the first half of 2025. This means the period between January to June.
- Previously, it was rumoured to launch in Q1, 2025.
- The Find N5 is tipped to have an enhanced metallic texture. This will enable the device to support magnetic wireless charging which is not present on its predecessor.
- The upcoming foldable will have a thinner and lighter form factor compared to its predecessor.
- The OPPO Find N5 will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
- The flagship chipset means that it will be the most powerful foldable at launch considering that OPPO’s competitors don’t release it before.
- The Find N5 is expected to retain the circular camera module. It will accommodate three 50MP sensors compared to the varied setup on the Find N3.
- The tipster adds that the upcoming foldable will work with Apple Ecosystem. This means seamless transfer of files between Android and iPhones.
- Apart from this, as per a past leak, the OPPO Find N5 will be backed by a larger battery unit of a 5,565mAh compared to its predecessor.
Considering a year’s delay, the OPPO Find N5 could be the most anticipated foldable for 2025. The brand’s book-style foldable will be limited to the China market. It is expected to release as a rebadged OnePlus Open 2 globally. The exact launch timeline of the latter remains unclear but we can expect it to arrive soon after the Find N5’s announcement in the home country. To recall, the OnePlus Open was launched in India in October 2023 at Rs 1,39,999 followed by an “Apex Edition” of the phone in August this year.
