At the Xiaomi 15 series launch, the brand also unveiled the much-anticipated HyperOS 2.0 OS. This will be rolling out to multiple Xiaomi and Redmi phones/tablets in the days to come. The new custom OS is said to focus on three important aspects: HyperCore, HyperConnect, and HyperAI, all of which are claimed to enhance the user experience across devices.

- This analyses instruction pipelines directly from the chipset’s architecture and reduces the CPU idle time by 19 percent by improving task cycles and memory latency.
- Lockscreen: HyperOS 2.0 brings a dynamic AI-powered lock screen, which uses AI to create personalised wallpapers.
- Revamped desktop: The new OS brings a redesigned desktop, which includes visual upgrades and customisable content. There is also enhanced widget selection.

- HyperConnect: With HyperOS 2.0, one can control the phone directly from your tablet using a windowed interface.
- There is also a cross-device clipboard, which allows you to copy-paste between devices and also supports dual-camera streaming between Xiaomi tablets and phones.
- HyperConnect is compatible with Apple devices in Mainland China. This will also allow Apple users to browse files, share photos, and access Keynote, Pages, and Numbers files on Xiaomi devices.
- HyperAI: HyperAI analyses depth in user-selected videos frame by frame, thereby creating cinematic depth effects on lock screens.
- Through AI-generated content (AIGC), static wallpapers of cities, plants, and more can be animated.
- AI Magic: With the AI Art function within the Mi Canvas app on the Xiaomi tablet, one can turn sketches into paintings.
- AI writing tools: AI writing tools allow users to refine or extend text on-screen.
- AI sound/voice recognition: AI sound recognition enables transcribing and identifying speaker-specific audio in calls, recordings, or meeting apps, generating accurate summaries.
- AI Anti-Fraud: This feature detects scam calls and alerts you about face-swapped videos for added protection.
- Video Gesture Effects: With this, users can trigger special effects during video calls through gestures.
Others: With HyperOS 2.0, the app launch delays on smartphones are reduced by up to 54.9 percent, while on tablets, the delays are decreased by 15 percent. On smartwatches, the heart rate measurement accuracy rises by 25 percent, while third-party app launch speeds improve by 23 percent.
