  • A new leaked One UI 7.0 shows off the customisation options.

Samsung One UI 7 beta is yet to find its way to Galaxy smartphones, with the exact date nowhere on the horizon. While it was expected the company might announce details at the SDC Conference in the US a few weeks ago, it didn’t happen. Now, it looks like the One UI 7.0 might be finally unveiled at the same SDC conference but this time in South Korea in November, as per the latest report.

While we wait for more details from the brand, an alleged One UI 7.0 video has leaked online and this showcases the customisation options of the new OS in more detail. Here’s everything new about the One UI 7.0.

Is this the Samsung One UI 7.0 open beta launch date?

  • Samsung announced that it will be holding its Samsung Developer Conference 2024 event in South Korea on November 21st.
  • The event will start with a keynote from Jeon Kyung-hoon, President and Chief Technology Officer of Samsung Electronics’ DX Division and Head of Samsung Research.

  • The top executive will cover various topics like IoT, healthcare, data processing, communication, Generative AI, and software platforms (One UI and Tizen), especially on how to improve these.
  • There are chances the brand may showcase One UI 7.0 design and features during this specific part of the event.
  • There are also chances the One UI 7.0 Beta Program may kick off right after the conference, reports SamMobile.
  • However, this can’t be said for certain and is a bit far-fetched at this time.
  • Vice President Jinmin Jeong, head of the S/W Innovation Center at Samsung Research, Samsung Electronics, said that the brand will expand the presentations compared to last year and reveal more of the company’s research and development activities.

One UI 7.0 customisation options

While we wait for the One UI 7.0 beta release, a new leaked video has revealed the alleged One UI 7.0 customisation features, courtesy of a YouTuber. This comes after the interface was revealed in a leaked video.

The video shows you can change the placement of several quick setting toggles and sliders. This is similar to iOS 18/iOS 18.1. There is also the provision to change the placement of the lock screen clock and lock screen mini widgets as per your wish.

We also see a pill-shaped section at the bottom of the screen and this can show emergency contact information, charging animations and more. There are new widgets like Images and Stories and Secure Wi-Fi.

Sections like Battery, Device Care, Screen Time, and Weather widgets are reportedly redesigned. There is also a new notification styling, where each notification will be bigger and has a pill-shaped design.
