iQOO 13 battery, fast charging details confirmed ahead of launch | Tech Tips

iQOO 13 launch date has yet to be revealed but it’s expected to be unveiled anytime soon. The new flagship smartphone from iQOO will feature the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. iQOO 13 India launch has also been teased confirming the flagship’s arrival in the country. Ahead of the launch, iQOO has revealed the battery and fast charging details of its upcoming flagship. 

iQOO 13 battery, fast charging

• iQOO 13 is confirmed to pack a 6,150mAh battery accompanied by 120W fast charging support. 
• In comparison to the iQOO 12, this would be a major bump to the battery capacity from 5,000mAh to 6,150mAh. The fast charging speed remains the same but 120W is the highest you’d get with Android smartphones. 
• The announcement was made by Vivo Vice President Jia Jingdong on Weibo where he revealed more details about the iQOO 13.

In the same Weibo post, Jingdong confirmed the iQOO 13 will feature a new BOE Q10 display with a 2K resolution that was jointly made between the two companies. The smartphone will also come with a 144Hz refresh rate and what’s claimed to be the world’s first OLED circularly polarized light eye protection technology.

The smartphone’s design has also been revealed confirming a change with the brand option for flat edges and a flat display for the iQOO 13. The rear camera design is the same, which is a ‘squircle’ housing the sensors along with an LED ring around it. The smartphone will come in Green, White, Black, and Gray colours. 

The iQOO 13 will be equipped with the in-house Q2 gaming chip, which is said to bring PC-level 2K texture super-resolution and native 144FPS super-frame. It’s also confirmed to feature a multi-layer graphene, a 7K ultra-large area VC heat spreader, and a “super-large and powerful” vibration motor. The flagship will run OriginOS 5 with Android 15 in China. Globally, the smartphone will be powered by Funtouch OS. 

The iQOO 13 India launch has also been teased suggesting the phone will arrive here soon. The rumoured launch date for the iQOO 13 in India is December 5th. This suggests that the iQOO 13 could be the Snapdragon 8 Elite phone in India after the Realme GT 7 Pro.
