The iQOO 13 was recently tipped to launch in India on December 5th, but it will first go official in the home country. While the company hasn’t revealed the launch date yet, the China launch is likely approaching. Ahead of the official announcement, a company official revealed all the key details of the iQOO 13, which will become the successor to the iQOO 12. Alongside that, the design of the iQOO 13 has surfaced online via a leaked retail box image.
iQOO 13 specifications revealed
Through Weibo, Jia Jingdong, Vice President of Vivo Brand and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, has revealed all the specifications of the iQOO 13. Here are the expected details of the iQOO 13.
- Display: The official states that the iQOO 13 features a 2K Q10 Everest display for enhanced brightness and colour accuracy. The display size hasn’t been revealed, but it is expected to be around a 6.82-inch flat OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate.
- Processor: Similar to several speculations, the upcoming flagship smartphone from iQOO will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which will offer advancements in CPU, GPU, and NPU performance.
- Processor features: The iQOO 13 is touted to come with a heat dissipation system that utilises multi-layer graphene and a 7K ultra-large VC heat spreader for stable performance during heavy loads. Additionally, it is equipped with a self-developed gaming chip, the Q2, which supports PC-level 2K texture super-resolution and native 144FPS gaming.
- Battery: The company official mentioned that the iQOO 13 would come with an upgraded 6,150mAh battery, and the fast charging won’t be downgraded to 100W, according to recent rumours. Instead, it will pack 120W wired fast charging support.
- Other features: The yet-to-be-launched iQOO 13 will operate OriginOS 5 and feature improved AI capabilities and enhanced audio-visual configurations for gaming. It will pack dual speakers.
iQOO 13 design leaked
While the flagship iQOO 13 will be revealed in China this month, an author at Gizmochina has posted an image of the retail box of the iQOO 13 on X (formerly Twitter), which reveals the design of the front panel of the phone.
Looking at the image, we can say that the iQOO 13 will flaunt narrow edges with a thin bezel and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The retail box also shows iQOO and BMW M Motorsport branding, hinting that it may be released in a BMW M Motorsport edition.
