The new launch announcement was made on the Samsung Korea newsroom suggesting it could launch only in the home country. There have been rumours saying that Samsung plans to keep the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition limited to South Korea and China. Samsung is also reportedly planning production for only four to five lakh units of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition.
The invite teaser doesn’t reveal anything other than confirming a new Galaxy product launching on October 21st.
In comparison to the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Special Edition is expected to feature a rectangular-shaped camera module instead of a pill-shaped design. It could also be slimmer measuring 10.6mm when folded. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a thickness of 12mm. Like the regular model, this one will come with S Pen support and a titanium frame.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is said to feature an 8-inch internal and 6.5-inch outer display. This is slightly bigger than the regular model, which has a 6.3-inch internal display and a 7.60-inch external display. Rumours also suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition will sport a 200MP primary camera. This would be another upgrade over the regular model as it has a 50MP primary camera.
