The OnePlus 13 is launching quite soon, and there’s tonnes of hype around its launch, with more details pouring out by the minute. The latest news is regarding its display panel, and its received the first ever DisplayMate A++ certification. The new BOE X2 panel is claimed to be a big improvement over its predecessor, the X1 panel in OnePlus 12. Let’s take a closer look at the details.

  • OnePlus China head Li Jie recently revealed the new BOE X2 display that will be featured in the brand’s upcoming flagship. 
  • The panel has now officially gained the DisplayMate A++ rating as stated before and broken 21 records while doing so.

  • The brand unveiled the new BOE X2 display today along with OPPO in an official launch event. 
  • OnePlus claims the BOE X2 display will sport “high brightness” and a better “eye protection experience” compared to the panel in the OnePlus 12. 
  • This screen is likely to be the same 6.82-inch in size, with 2K resolution, curves on all four sides, a 120Hz refresh rate, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support.

OnePlus 13 rumoured specifications and features

  • Display: The OnePlus 13, as mentioned before, will likely have a 6.82-inch 2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and quad-curved edges.
  • Processor: The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is likely to power the upcoming flagship. 
  • Cameras: The triple-camera setup could include a 50MP Sony LYT808 primary sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor, and a 50MP Sony LYT600 3X periscope telephoto camera. If we had to compare, the OnePlus 12 has a 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens.
  • Battery, charging: The phone is tipped to pack a 6,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. The battery capacity might exceed 6,000mAh and the phone could come with magnetic wireless charging support too. 
  • Other upgrades: The OnePlus 13 is also rumoured to feature an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. This would be a major upgrade as the OnePlus 12 has an IP65 rating.
  • It’s also expected to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a faster and more secure technology than the optical fingerprint sensor. 
  • Price: OnePlus 13 16GB + 512GB variant will reportedly cost CNY 5,200 (Rs 61,743 approx) or CNY 5,299 (Rs 62,918 approx) in China.
