For context, the Redmi K-series is a budget flagship lineup that is priced aggressively compared to tier-1 flagships like the OnePlus 13, Samsung Galaxy S-series, and even the Xiaomi numbered lineup.
Redmi K80 series codenames
- According to the report, the Redmi K80 Pro bears the codename ‘Miro’ and this will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite/Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
- The phone will bear model numbers 24117RK2CG and 24117RK2CC, which means there could be more than one configuration.
- Meanwhile, the Redmi K80 carries the codename ‘Zorn’ and will bear the model numbers 24122RKC7G/24122RKC7C. However, the chipset details are not leaked at the moment.
- The report notes that the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro will be expanded to global markets like Turkey and others. However, they will not be available in India.
- There are rumours about a third model, with the codename ‘Rodin’ and this will be available globally, including in India.

- The Redmi K80 Pro specifications have been tipped by DigitalChatStation (via).
- According to this, the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is set to debut later this month.
- The phone could pack a 6,000mAh battery, which is an upgrade over 5,000mAh cell from the predecessor.
- There will be 100W wireless charging and wireless charging support, which should make it the first Redmi K-series phone with such a feature. This is a slight downgrade from 120W of the Redmi K70 Pro.
- The tipster says the ‘energy density set a new high’, which could be referring to the battery’s ability to store more capacity in a smaller space.
