Lava Agni 3 has been officially confirmed to launch in India on October 4th. The smartphone arrives as a successor to the Lava Agni 2, its top offering currently available in India. Here’s all we know about the Lava Agni 3: 

Lava Agni 3 launch date revealed

• As stated before, Lava has officially confirmed the Lava Agni 3’s launch date to be 4th October in India. 
• The brand has also shared a teaser on X, along with a letter that states the Lava Agni 3 is designed to be the “Rule breaker”.

• The brand essentially claims the phone will disrupt the Indian smartphone market by providing great features at sensible price point.
• One of the phone’s standout features is rumoured to be a secondary display on the rear panel, as tipped by Abhishek Yadav. From the brand’s reveal, we can also see a large indentation on the rear panel, which could be the rumoured secondary display. 
• According to a report by TheMobileIndian, the smartphone could feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 SoC and will likely come with Android 14 pre-installed.
• The smartphone is likely to be priced around Rs 25,000, which is currently one of the heaviest contested smartphone segments in India. 
• It will compete with the likes of OnePlus Nord CE4, Vivo T3 Pro, Nothing Phone (2a) etc.
• Its predecessor, Lava Agni 2 (review) was quite an impressive device, so the Lava Agni 3 will launch with some high expectations on its shoulders. 

Lava Agni 3 specifications: what to expect

• Display: The phone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to what was seen on the Lava Agni 2. In addition to the main display, it might include a smaller secondary display on the rear panel.
  
• Rear Cameras: The Lava Agni 3 could come with a quad-camera setup: a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor, mirroring the configuration of the Agni 2.
• Chipset: The Lava Agni 2 launched with an underwhelming MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor for its price. The Lava Agni 3 could use the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, which will give its performance a much-needed boost. 
• Storage: The phone could come with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, providing ample space for most users.
  
• OS: Lava’s software experience is close to stock Android, and the Agni 3 could ship with Android 14 out of the box.
  
• Battery: A 5000mAh battery has become the norm in 2024, and the Agni 3 is likely to follow suit, along with 66W fast charging, similar to the Agni 2.
