Xiaomi MIX Flip launched globally today after its debut in China this July. The MIX Flip is Xiaomi’s first clamshell folding smartphone. With the Xiaomi MIX Flip, you get a 4-inch cover display, one of the biggest in the market, up to 16GB of RAM, and 67W fast charging support. Xiaomi has launched the MIX Flip in select global markets but there’s no word on its India launch yet. 

Xiaomi MIX Flip price, availability

• The Xiaomi Mix Flip is priced at 1299 Euros (Rs 1,21,000 approx) for the single 12GB + 256GB variant. 
• The Xiaomi foldable is available to purchase in Europe. Availability for other markets hasn’t been revealed. 
• Xiaomi MIX Flip can be purchased in Black and Purple colours.  

Xiaomi MIX Flip specifications

• Display: Xiaomi MIX Flip features a 6.86-inch 1.5K TCL C8+ LTPO primary display with UTG glass protection. Outside, there’s a 4-inch 1.5K TCL C8+ LTPO cover display with Xiaomi Sheild glass protection. Both the primary and cover display have a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. 
• Processor: Under the hood of the foldable runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It’s a flagship chipset from last year, which powers the Galaxy Z Fold 6 as well.
• Battery, charging: The foldable packs a 4,780mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It doesn’t have wireless charging support. 
• Cameras: The Xiaomi MIX Flip features a 50MP primary camera with OIS and a 50MP telephoto sensor, which are located on the cover display. There’s a 32MP selfie camera on the primary display.
• Battery, charging: On the software front, the MIX Flip runs Android 14-based HyperOS out of the box.

Xiaomi MIX Flip alternatives

The foldable segment still has only a handful of options although the market is slowly growing. With the Xiaomi MIX Flip now available in the global market, it will compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. Both are premium clamshell foldable phones available across markets including India. The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 is another clamshell foldable that launched recently but its price hasn’t been revealed yet.
