OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to debut soon in China. These will arrive as successors to the Ace 3 lineup. There have been multiple leaks in recent times, revealing newer details of the phones, including their chipsets. In a new leak, DigitalChatStation has reiterated some of the earlier leaked OnePlus Ace 5 series specifications and the launch timeline.
OnePlus Ace 5 series hardware details
- According to the tipster, the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro were originally expected to debut in December but the latest developments have pushed the launch to January.
- The phones would come with a 50MP primary camera with a large 1/1.56 sensor size. This could be a Sony IMX89-series sensor.

- The main sensor will be accompanied by a 50MP telephoto camera, which contradicts earlier leaks.
- The OnePlus Ace 5 series is further tipped to feature a 1.5K flat BOE X2 OLED display and large capacity batteries starting with 6xxxmAh paired with 100W fast charging support.
- The SM8650 and SM8750 mentioned in the Weibo post are associated with the Snapdragon Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipsets.

- Display: OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro are expected to sport BOE X2 1.5K 8T LTPO display with flat edges. The phones are tipped to sport a 6.78-inch display size.
- Build: The OnePlus phones are believed to sport a metal middle frame, with the Pro variant featuring a glass or ceramic back panel design.
- Battery: The regular OnePlus Ace 5 may have a 6,200mAh battery with 100W fast charging but details regarding the Pro model remain under wraps.
- For context, the OnePlus Ace 3 features a 5,500mAh + 100W fast charging, while the Ace 3 Pro has a 6,100mAh unit with 100W fast charging.
