Redmi Watch 5 Lite launching in India on September 25th | Tech Tips

After launching the Redmi Watch 5 Active, the company is now gearing up to bring the Redmi Watch 5 Lite to India. The new model will be debuting on September 25th at 12 PM IST. This is just a day before the sales begin on Flipkart and Amazon (for Plus and Prime customers). The Redmi Watch 5 Lite features an AMOLED display and the teaser image confirms the smartwatch will have a square display. There is a dedicated microsite on Xiaomi India’s website and this reveals few hardware details.

• The microsite confirms the Redmi Watch 5 Lite will feature a 1.96-inch AMOLED display unlike the Watch 5 Active, which has an LCD panel. The teaser image suggests there will be narrow bezels.
• The Redmi Watch 5 Lite will come with built-in GPS support so you can track every move even when your phone is unavailable.

• We also get 5 ATM (50 meters) water resistance support, Clear Calling to make or receive calls directly from your wrist and lastly, there is an Alexa voice assistant for hands-free controls.
• Redmi Watch 5 Lite runs on HyperOS and you can sync your calendar, get reminders, and manage all your tasks from the wrist.
• Xiaomi claims the Redmi Watch 5 Lite will offer 18 days of battery life but the exact battery capacity details are not revealed.

To recall, the Redmi Watch 5 Active launched in India last month and comes with a large 2-inch LCD display with 500nits brightness. There’s support for over 200+ watch faces, 140+ sports modes, heart rate and SpO2 sensors, and Bluetooth calling. It runs on HyperOS custom skin and offers an IPX8 rating for water resistance. The Redmi Watch 5 Active is priced at Rs 2,799.
