Following speculations and rumours, Vivo has officially announced the China launch date of the much-anticipated Vivo X200 series. The upcoming X200 series will be announced as a successor to the Vivo X100 series, which includes the X100 and X100 Pro. Vivo X200 series China launch date

Without revealing much details, the company has announced that the Vivo X200 series will be revealed in China’s Beijing on October 12th. More details are expected to be revealed in the coming days, as the official launch is around a month away.


While Vivo did not reveal how many smartphones will be launched under the series, it is expected to include at least two phones – X200 and X200 Pro. Though not confirmed, the Vivo X200 series might be announced in India in January, like the X100 series.

Vivo X200 series: what to expect

  • Display: As per speculations, the vanilla Vivo X200 will likely flaunt a 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED LTPO 1.5K display, while the Pro variant will boast a 6.7 or 6.8-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO micro-curved screen.
  • Chipset: The Vivo X200 series phones are expected to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC on the predecessor phones.
  • Cameras: The X200 might pack an OIS-enabled 50MP main camera, an ultra-wide-angle sensor, along with a 70mm periscope telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. On the other hand, the X200 Pro is expected to sport a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto sensor.
  • Battery, charging: While the X200 might offer a 5,600mAh battery with 90W wired charging, the X200 Pro is anticipated to offer a whooping 6,000mAh battery.
  • Other features: The upcoming X200 series phones are said to feature an IP68 or IP69 water and dust resistance rating and also include an optical fingerprint sensor and an ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor.
