Realme P2 Pro 5G appears on Geekbench ahead of India launch | Tech Tips
Realme P2 Pro is confirmed to arrive in India on September 13th. This will arrive as a successor to the Realme P1 Pro and it looks like the vanilla model may not accompany this time around. There is a dedicated microsite on Flipkart as well. While we wait for the announcement, the Realme P2 Pro has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmark platform. This reveals the benchmark scores and some key specs of the phone.
Realme P2 Pro Geekbench scores revealed
- The Geekbench listing, as spotted by MySmartPrice, shows the phone will bear the model number RMX3987.
- The listing shows the phone has managed to score 866 in the single-core round and 2811 in the multi-core segment.
- The Realme P2 Pro will boot Android 14 OS out of the box and pack 12GB RAM, but there could be other options at launch.
- The motherboard section says ‘Parrot’, which could be associated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. The SoC has a peak clock speed of 2.40GHz. It’s also confirmed to launch with this chipset.
- The Flipkart microsite confirms the Realme P2 Pro is the only phone with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage under Rs 25,000. We believe the Realme P2 Pro could have a starting price of around Rs 20,000.
- In comparison, the Realme P1 Pro launched at Rs 21,999.
Realme P2 Pro: what do we know so far?
The Realme P2 Pro has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with the same model number. The Flipkart microsite confirms the phone would come with a curved display, 2000nits peak brightness, AI gaming eye protection, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, rainwater smart touch, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
The listing confirms the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. In comparison, the Realme P1 Pro came with a Snapdragon 6 gen 1 SoC. The chipset is paired with UFS 3.1 storage, GT Gaming Mode, and a 4500mm2 VC cooling system.
The phone will have a 5,200mAh battery with 80W fast charging support, compared to 5000mAh cell and 45W fast charging. The company says that a quick 5-minute charge can offer 1.5 hours of gaming, 12 hours of music, and 3.5 hours of movie playback. There is AI charging, which will stop charging when the battery is full. We get IOT reverse charging.
The Realme P2 Pro will be available in Parrot Green and Eagle Grey colours. The phone has a boxy chassis with a volume rocker and power button housed on the right edge. There is a speaker vent and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. We see a large square camera module on the back panel to house at least dual cameras and an LED flash.
