iPhone lineup has been refreshed with four new iPhones viz., the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. With the new ones in, it’s time to bid farewell to some old iPhone models. We have combed through Apple’s website and listed the discontinued iPhones below.

Discontinued iPhone models after iPhone 16 launch

These three iPhones are not available for purchase anymore on Apple.com.

• iPhone 15 Pro: The iPhone 15 Pro base variant was available for Rs 1,29,800 (on Sep 4th, 2024). Compared to it, the iPhone 16 Pro has a slightly bigger screen (narrow bezels), a more capable Apple A18 Pro chipset, a new and improved 5G modem, a longer zoom 5x telephoto camera, a bigger 48MP ultrawide camera, 4K@120 slo-mo camera, Camera Control trigger, bigger battery and faster charging speed.
• iPhone 15 Pro Max: The iPhone 15 Pro Max base variant was selling on the Apple website for Rs 154000. Compared to it, the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a better-performing Apple A18 Pro chipset, a 48MP ultrawide camera, a Camera Control trigger, and a bigger battery size.
• iPhone 13: This was the oldest iPhone in Apple’s portfolio launched in 2021. It is for those who don’t care about the latest hardware and just want a not-so-bad iPhone. 

So, as is customary, the Pro models meet their end since it doesn’t make sense to sell previous-gen phones as a Pro offering. This helps Apple streamline its portfolio and better position the iPhone 16 Pro models. 

However, you can still buy the old iPhones from e-commerce websites like Amazon and Flipkart (until stocks last). Historically, the previous-gen iPhones are on stock for years after they are officially phased out. So, you may keep an eye out for discounts on them during the forthcoming festive sales.

• iPhone 15: Rs 69,900
• iPhone 14 Plus: Rs 69,900
• iPhone 14: Rs 59,900
• iPhone SE: Rs 47,600

After the iPhone 13’s discontinuation, the iPhone SE is the longest-serving member of the lineup. Well, that’s until the new iPhone SE arrives.
