Razr-50s-HDR10+

Motorola Razr 50s foldable phone could be in the works, here’s the proof | Tech Tips

Back in June, the Motorola Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra phones were launched as the brand’s latest foldables. The Ultra model is also on sale in India, with the vanilla launching on September 9th. Amidst this, a new Razr 50 series phone has received the HDR10+ certification. The phone in question is the Razr 50s.

Motorola Razr 50s could be an affordable alternative to Razr 50

  • The HDR10+ listing, as spotted by MySmartPrice, means that Motorola will soon be launching a new foldable with the Razr 50s moniker.
  • The display of the phone will support HDR10+.
  • This also looks like the first time that Motorola is working on an ‘s’ branded foldable as so far it only introduced a vanilla variant and an Ultra model.

  • The Motorola Razr 50s could arrive as an affordable alternative to the vanilla Razr 50. This should give the brand a chance to capture a larger user demographic.
  • The HDR10+ listing also mentions other Motorola phones like the Edge 50, ThinkPhone 25, and Moto S50.
  • Since this is the first time we are coming across the Razr 50s, not much else is known about it at the moment but we should spot the phone on various other certification platforms in the days to come.

Meanwhile, a new Motorola foldable with the codename ‘Orion’ was recently spotted on the IMEI database, suggesting the existence of it. It was spotted alongside another Motorola phone ‘Houston’. The listing revealed the Motorola Orion has the model number XT2551-3. The ‘XT25’ in the model number could mean the foldable might debut in 2025, which is still a few months away.

While the listing hasn’t confirmed the marketing name, it is speculated the Motorola Orion could debut as the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra considering the Razr 50 Ultra bears the model number XT2451.
