Acer Nitro Blaze 7 handheld gaming PC announced at IFA 2024 | Tech Tips
Acer enters the handheld gaming space with the launch of the new Acer Nitro Blaze 7 (GN771) at IFA 2024 in Berlin. It features an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor and there’s Ryzen AI, which is claimed to optimise the performance and responsiveness across a wide range of games and applications. The handheld nature of the device makes it a very portable option for gaming and can be carried anywhere.
Acer says the Nitro Blaze 7 price and availability will vary based on region and these details will be revealed soon.
Acer Nitro Blaze 7 specifications, features
The Acer Nitro Blaze 7, as the name suggests, has a 7-inch FHD IPS display with 1920 X 1080 pixels resolution, 7ms response time, 100 percent sRGB coverage, touch support, AMD FreeSync Premium technology and a 144Hz refresh rate. The system runs on Windows 11 and features the new Acer Game Space application, which supports adding games from multiple platforms.
The Nitro Blaze 7 is powered by the Ryzen 7 8840HS processor with up to 5.1GHz max boost, 24MB cache, up to 39 total AI TOPS and Ryzen AI technology. We get AMD Radeon 780M graphics and Radeon Super Resolution in the panel for real-time graphical upscaling. There is up to 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD storage and 16GB LPDDR5x RAM at 7500 MT/s.
The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 is compatible with mainstream gaming platforms and offers 3 months of PC Game Pass for access to hundreds of PC games. The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Ports on board include two USB ports with fast charging and a microSD card for storage expansion.
The handheld game space has A, B, X, and Y buttons for game controls, a directional pad, LB/RB bumpers, LS/RS sticks, LT/RT Hall effect triggers, and a power button with a fingerprint reader. There is a volume button, a view button, a menu button, a pop-up keyboard button, a mode switch button, and an Acer quick menu button.
The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 features two 1W speakers, 2 microphones and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is a 50.04Wh Li-Polymer battery and 65W adapter. It measures 25.6 x 11.35 x 2.25cm and weighs 670 grams.
