Samsung Galaxy S24 FE live image spotted on FCC, also appears on TDRA and TUV Rheinland certifications | Tech Tips
Although it’s not officially revealed by Samsung, the Galaxy S24 FE is expected to debut globally soon. This is a successor to the Galaxy S23 FE and a lot has already been said about the hardware. While we wait for the announcement, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has been spotted on the UAE TDRA and TUV platforms. The US variant has secured the FCC certification. These listings reveal quite a bit about the phones.
Galaxy S24 FE launch imminent based on listings
TDRA
- The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE appeared on the TDRA certification (via) platform with the model number SM-S721B/DS. The DS at the end might mean dual-SIM.
- The listing on the TDRA confirms the marketing name ‘Galaxy S24 FE’.
TUV Rheinland
- The TUV Rheinland platform lists a total of seven Galaxy S24 FE models: “SM-S721B/DS, SM-S721B, SM-S721N, SM-S721Q, SM-S721U, SM-S721W, SM-S7210.”
- It’s possible that these models may be intended for different markets, with the SM-S721B for the global market.
- The TUV certification suggests the phone may come with 25W fast charging support.
FCC certification
The FCC certification, as spotted by MySmartPrice, means the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will be heading to the US market soon. The listing shows the model number SM-S72U and will be equipped with Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, LTE, Bluetooth and more. The phone will have wireless charging and reverse wireless charging up to 9W. There is a live image of the phone undergoing a radiation test.
There is also a design sketch of the phone and this confirms rounded corners and flat edges. The FCC listing shows it could measure 162 x 77.3 mm (height and width) but there is no mention of thickness yet.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: what we know so far
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE was recently spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification and it appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE might sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is a slight upgrade over the 6.4-inch display on the Galaxy S23 FE from last year. It could be powered by the underclocked Exynos 2400 SoC paired with Samsung Xclipse 940 GPU and at least 8GB RAM. This replaces the Exynos 2200 on the S23 FE.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could house a 4,565mAh cell but could be promoted as a 5,000mAh cell. The phone might feature a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. This is the same camera setup as the S24 FE. We also have a 10MP shooter on the front.
The handset is likely to boot Android 14-based OneUI custom skin out of the box and there could be some AI features on board.
