OnePlus Ace 5 Pro specifications and design details tipped: flagship chip, flat display | Tech Tips

OnePlus must be developing the Ace 5 series as a recent post claimed the Ace 5 Pro could launch in the fourth quarter of 2024. And now, the same source has seemingly spilt the specs and design details of the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. Spoiler alert (but not really): the phone could be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Here’s everything else part of this new tip:

OnePlus Ace 5 Pro specifications (tipped)

Tipster DigitalChatStation (DCS) hasn’t spelt out the phone’s name but he seems to be talking about the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro only.

As aforesaid, the Ace 5 Pro could be engined by the yet-to-release flagship chip for Androids — the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The phone’s predecessor the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. We are expecting a significant performance difference between the two chips thanks to the new cores and structure.

Rest, he also claims the phone’s front display could be a 1.5K resolution BOE X2 panel.

The differences could also be in the phone’s design. Last time when the phone’s launch window was being discussed, its appearance was said to be “fully upgraded”.

Now, DCS says the front could be straight (or flat) with a metal side frame, and the body will be either glass-made or made of ceramic.

The joint of the rear and the metal frame could be chamfered. He also mentions a squared and tough ID. However, we are not sure if he is talking about the fingerprint ID scanner or something else. We shall update you once it is clear.

OnePlus Ace 5: what we know

As for the younger sibling, the Ace 5, the rumours suggest a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO screen with micro-curvature, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a 6,200mAh battery with 100W charging an alert slider, and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup.

Perhaps, the OnePlus Ace 5 could be rebranded as OnePlus 13R and the Ace 5 Pro could get the OnePlus 13T badge in markets outside China. Let’s see.
