Redmi 14C launch date, design and specifications revealed via online listing | Tech Tips

Redmi 14C will be the brand’s upcoming budget offering and 91mobiles exclusively revealed the handset will be making its debut globally by the end of this month. In line with that, the phone has now been listed on a Vietnamese retailer and this reveals the launch date, key specifications and design of Redmi 14C. The handset will arrive as a successor to the Redmi 13C from last year. Check out the complete details.

Redmi 14C listing leaves nothing to the imagination

Design

  • As per the listing, the Redmi 14C will be debuting in Vietnam on August 31st, which is next week.
  • The renders listed on the retailer’s website show the phone will be available in black, green-which appears to have a leather finish, and blue colour options.
  • The image confirms the Redmi 14C will house a circular camera module on the back panel to accommodate the dual-camera sensors and an LED flash.
  • The back panel of the blue colour variant has a unique gradient design and this looks quite fancy. There is also Redmi branding.
  • The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge.
  • The front of the phone houses a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. There is a sizeable chin below the screen and this makes it look quite dated for today’s standards.
  • The phone looks to have a polycarbonate body, which is expected considering we are looking at a budget offering.

Specifications

The listing on the Vietnamese retailer reveals some key specifications as well. The handset will come feature a large 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. This is a sizeable upgrade over the 6.74-inch screen of the Redmi 13C.

The phone will house a 5160mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. For comparison, the predecessor has a 5000mAhh battery with the same 18W charging speed. The Redmi 14C might house a 50MP primary camera sensor on the back much like the predecessor.

There is no mention of chipset details in the listing but rumours have it the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset. The SoC will be paired with 4GB + 128GB and 4GB + 256GB storage options. The phone is likely to boot Android 14 OS-based HyperOS custom skin out of the box and will even receive a HyperOS 2.0 update.

Redmi 14C has been spotted on the GSMA IMEI database listing with multiple model numbers, suggesting a wider release. The global model would come with NFC support. We should learn more details soon.
