JioTV+ app for smart TVs with access to over 800 digital channels launched in India | Tech Tips
In a bid to woo users, Reliance Jio has launched the JioTV+ app for leading smart TVs, which was earlier available through the Jio set-top box (STB) that came bundled with the Jio AirFiber or JioFiber connection. It offers access to more than 800 digital channels across over 10 languages. Along with that, users can access more than 13 OTT apps through a single login. Here’s more about the JioTV+ app.

Notably, Android TV users can download the JioTV+ app from the Google Play Store, while the app is also available for Apple TVs and TVs powered by Amazon’s Fire OS, and the app can be downloaded from their respective app stores.
The JioTV+ app is currently not available on Samsung TV. Meanwhile, it is expected to come soon to LG TV. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that Jio users will be able to connect two TVs with a single JioFiber connection for free.
The JioTV+ app comes with a suite of features that are designed for user convenience. It includes a single sign-on. There’s a smart filter feature that allows users to search channels by language, category, or channel number.
Other features include adjustable playback speeds, catch-up TV for previously aired shows, personalised recommendations tailored to individual preferences, and a kid-safe section with curated content for children.
It is available to users on specific eligible plans. JioAirFiber users can access it on all plans, while JioFiber Postpaid users must be on plans of Rs 599, Rs 899, or above. Meanwhile, eligibility for JioFiber Prepaid users begins with plans priced at Rs 999 and above.
Here’s how to download and access JioTV+
- In order to download and log in to the JioTV+ app, users will need to use their Android Smart TV remote, Firestick remote, or Apple TV remote.
- They will have to navigate to the app store or Play Store on their smart TV, search for “JioTV,” and select JioTV+.
- Following that, they have to click on the app to install it on their smart TV and sign it with a valid phone number.
- After that, users will need to authenticate it through the OTP sent to their registered phone number.
