POCO Pad, company’s first-ever tablet, launching in India on August 23rd | Tech Tips



POCO had long been teasing the India arrival of its first-ever tablet, the POCO Pad. The company has now finally announced the POCO Pad launch date in India. According to POCO India head Himanshu Tandon, the tablet will debut in the country on August 23rd, and will be available via Flipkart.


The tablet comes along with a keyboard and pen, which can be purchased separately. 

POCO Pad price, specifications and features

The POCO Pad was launched globally in May alongside the POCO F6 and F6 Pro, so we already know what to expect from the device. It’s anticipated to be a mid-range tablet, and is priced at $330, which is around Rs 27,000.The Keyboard retails for $80 (around Rs 6,656), and the Pen costs $60 (approx Rs 4,992).

In terms of specifications, the POCO Pad shares similarities with the Redmi Pad Pro, which launched in China last month.

  • Display: The POCO Pad comes with a 12.1-inch 120Hz LCD display with 2.5K resolution and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. There is Dolby Vision, adaptive reading mode, TUV Rheinland flicker-free certification, low blue light certified, and more.
  • Chipset: The tablet comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with Adreno 710 GPU. 
  • RAM and storage: The POCO Pad packs up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1.5TB via microSD card support.
  • Camera: There is an 8MP camera on the rear as well as the front.
  • Battery: The tablet comes with a massive 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
  • Other features: There is a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 6, quad speakers, Dolby Atmos, Gyroscope, Colour temperature sensor, and Ambient light sensor, among others.
