More than two years after the original Watch Fit‘s launch, the successor Huawei Watch Fit 2 has launched in India. Well, the Watch Fit 2 made its global debut in May 2022. So, it took its time but now that it is here, let’s check out its key features, compare them to the 2024 standard, and its price and availability.

Huawei Watch Fit 2 is available on Amazon India for Rs 9,998. However, the brand is advertising the smartwatch for Rs 8,999. So, there is a lack of clarity in pricing.

There is only one colour option which is Midnight Black Active Edition.

Huawei Watch Fit 2 specifications, features

• Display: Huawei has equipped the Watch Fit 2’s front with a 1.74-inch rectangular AMOLED panel with 336 x 480 pixels resolution, and 336 PPI pixel density. You can customise the display with Always On Display and multiple watch faces downloadable from the Watch Face store.
• Calling: You can enjoy Bluetooth Calling and music playback right from the smartwatch thanks to a speaker on it. The watch has 4GB storage and you can store up to 5,000 songs on it.
• Compatibility: It has Bluetooth 5.2 protocol and can run with Android phones (version 6.0 and above) and iPhones (above iOS 9.0).
• Design: The body measures 46 x 33.5 x 10.8 mm and weighs 26 grams. You get 5ATM water resistance, and a press-to-release strap design (called Link).
• Health features: The smartwatch lets you keep track of heart rate (Huawei TruSeen 4.0), SpO2, sleep health (Huawei TruSleep 2.0), stress (Huawei TruRelax), and activities (97 sports modes including 7 common workout ones like running, cycling, swimming, and rope jumping).
• Sensors: The watch also sports GPS and a 9-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor to monitor acceleration, orientation (gyro), angular rates, and other geomagnetic or gravitational forces. 
• Battery life: Huawei claims up to 10 days of battery endurance in regular use and if you are a heavy user, expect up to 7 days worth of juice.

Meanwhile, today, we have smartwatches like the Galaxy Watch 4 with LTE call and connectivity support, more premium design, a more refined and feature-rich WearOS software, and ecosystem benefits at around this price point. The Huawei smartwatch also gets stiff competition from the likes of Amazfit, Noise, etc.
