Furthermore, SBI credit card users can avail of an additional Rs 4,000 discount if they buy the headphones using a No-Cost EMI option. So, combining the coupon discount and EMI discount, you get the Sony WH-1000XM5 for Rs 23,988.

In case you have a different bank card like say HDFC, you get a Rs 2,000 discount only. That brings the price down to Rs 25,988.

Should you buy Sony WH-1000XM5 on Amazon Great Freedom Festival Sale?

The Sony WH-1000XM5 is considered one of the best headphones out there. You get high-quality audio aided by very effective noise cancellation. You can wear it for a long time thanks to its comfy design and material. You get a hard case to carry it around.

Sony bundles a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable too, if you like to hear it wired, especially during fast-paced gaming sessions.

You also get Bluetooth Multipoint connection, a customisation-friendly and feature-rich app, and nifty gestures to manage playback and volume control. At Rs 23,988, it is a good deal considering the above pros and the fact that its competitors like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra and Apple AirPods Max are pricier.

However, if you are tight on budget, the Sony WH-1000XM4 is available for Rs 18,489 (after a Rs 2,500 SBI credit card discount). True, the XM5 offers better battery life, improved ANC, sound, and some refinements here and there. But, the improvements are rather iterative and the XM4 is still a great pair of headphones in 2024.
